Bixant Lizarazu spoke about the match between PSG and Bayern. Former France defender Bixant Lizarazu shared his thoughts on the first Champions League semi-final match between PSG and Bayern (5:4).
- How to explain such an incredible score? Nine goals in the match.
- We were close to witnessing the match of the year!
The first half was a real boxing match. Both teams exchanged blows. In the second half, it might have been worth slowing down the pace, but Bayern continued to take risks and leave themselves exposed.
It was fantastically entertaining, but rather naive, given the strengths of PSG and the talent of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele.
At 5:2 I thought it was all over for Bayern, but they found their strength.
After such a storm, who else will make a comeback? They showed incredible mental resilience at a time when PSG were struggling with physical fitness. The end of the match was difficult for the Parisians.
- Which players disappointed you?
- In my opinion, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes are the worst players.
Mendes struggled against Michael Olise, who was excellent. Luis Diaz was also very good and gave Marquinhos a lot of problems.
The PSG captain was completely outplayed by Diaz and also missed Olise`s first goal. It was a match of forwards, not defenders, " Bixant told Lizarazu.
