Sergio Perez is disappointed with the results analyzed by soccertipster of qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.


The Red Bull rider expected to compete for the highest position, but during the exit from the pits in the third segment, he got stuck behind the slow Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, who was driving along the still dry track on intermediate tires.


Perez was sure that immediately after the warm-up lap, Leclerc would turn into the pits and switch to slicks and therefore did not rush into the attack, but this did not happen - as a result, the Mexican spent almost the entire fast lap behind the red car.


This is... a complete failure. I don`t know what Leclerc and Ferrari were doing. It was obvious that on the exit lap he was too slow on the intermediate tires, and I thought he would immediately return to the pits.


For me, it was very clear that he needed to go for slicks, but for some reason he stayed for one more lap - and I spent a whole lap behind, because of which I lost a lot of time . . . Let`s try to bounce back tomorrow and earn points, - said Perez.


In Saturday`s sprint (beginning at 22:30 Moscow time), Perez starts ninth.
